Today You StruggleToday you struggle. It happens to us all. When life is heavy and when everything falls apart. You try to change but nothing happens. Adversity hits hard with a blow to your gut.

Today you struggle. Some say the struggle is real. There’s even a hashtag called #thestuggleisreal on every social media platform out there. When you just can’t take anything else it happens. The roof leaks, flat tire on a brand new tire (that you didn’t get the warranty on) or your child is sick. You broke your ankle and can’t work.

Today you struggle. When you lose your job because the contract your company had got phased out and the major contract holder decided not to hire you. The struggle is real. You start working nights because you want to see your kids during the day but won’t because you’re preoccupied with trying to keep everyone happy and make sure they are staying positive.

Today you struggle. After all, that shit still is coming down on you like a ton of bricks. You keep asking yourself can this get any worse? Oh, it can because you keep asking for it. The kind of struggle that we all endure is something that we live in day in and day out. It’s a matter of what kind of struggle we ask for. It’s all about perspective.

Today you struggle because the struggle is where the good stuff can actually happen. Adversity builds character and when you’re left with nothing, that’s when the rebuilding process is easy. It’s easy because you get time to clear your head and suffocate the bullshit. Then there’s only one road. One option. And it’s not a failure. It’s actually to struggle more.

Today you struggle. After seeing what you’re capable of when your back is against the wall you start to build calluses and muscle memory. The consistency required to be happy and make sure you stay happy comes from balance. A balance so delicate it’s like a flowers pedal. If you pull it off the flower it will tear. Trying to control every aspect of your life is like pull that pedal off the flower. If you simply observe that flower you’ll notice that it’s beauty and keep the balance of happiness.

Today you struggle for different reasons. Tomorrow may be the same. That’s up to you. You are one control of your own life way more than you think. I personally look forward to struggling because it means I get to learn something from it. Then I get to put another callus on and become that much stronger.

Let’s sum this up before you get today’s WOD done. You’ll struggle that I know is true. When you look forward to the struggle and you crave it you become a completely different person with a completely different mindset. Crave the struggle. Today you struggle but tomorrow you’ll love the lesson from it because tomorrow will bring a whole new set of struggles after you learn and accept what you were supposed to today.

Have Fun!
