Have you ever heard of something called Facebook Perfect? What you think is happening really isnt. This is a problem that our grandparents didn’t have to worry about. This mindset coaching article will reveal what people are saying about me while really the opposite is happening.
What is really happening is the opposite of what you think. When I started the Consecutive 365 WOD Journey I told myself I will get at least one round completed of each WOD for 365 days straight. Before I declared that to myself I was doing the WODs sporadically. To be honest it was four to five days out of seven. On the weekends it was a complete shit show. Above all, I was eating like crap for both days of those weekends.
The first thing I noticed about doing the WODs consecutively is the ripple effect of other choices that are made because of the consistency. A side effect that has happened is that people aren’t believing that the only amount of formal exercise that I get is what I’ve been doing is Live on Facebook. Meanwhile, there are people out there saying that right after I’m done with that Live Video I do WAY more exercise.
Since hearing the feedback that I workout way more I went live on Facebook. It was the total truth about what you think is happening really isnt. Because the only exercise I get really is on Facebook Live from my professional Facebook page. 1 Round each day is all I do. As I write this it’s January 2019. Maybe the second time through, should I decide to do that, I’ll commit to two rounds. Who knows?
Here is that Facebook Live Video about What You Think Is Happening Really Isnt:

People will talk about you no matter what you do. Forget about what they think. Because we only have one life, live your life for you and they will either stick around or leave. After accepting that living each day gets a lot more fun. What you think is happening really isn’t. For example, when you think everyone is looking at a zit on your face, they aren’t. They are too worried about what they look like. If they are looking and judging, it only means that they have the exact same problem.
We pick apart people for reasons that we’ve only been through. That’s why we can be so specific on tearing that person down. I can screw up my own life plenty on my own, I don’t need anybody’s help with that. Opinions of other people matter to me none. Creating this mindset of not giving a crap of what people think and suffocating the negativity is a long time coming.
I’ve always been this way but never been able to plug it into an outlet. That’s the beautiful part of a blog, knowing your passion and sharing it with the world. Because I look the way I do many people think I workout for many hours a day. Therefore I go Live on Facebook every single day. It’s to prove that I don’t. My wife and I pack our days full of work and family time. Where the heck is there time to spend in a gym or at home lifting a ton of weight?
The truth is that there isn’t. I fill the day with everything that fills my soul. Meanwhile, people around me are thinking that all I do is workout. That couldn’t be further from the truth. However, there are some days that aren’t full of things that I love, but those are far and few between.
Since the day is full of what I love to do, there are times that there aren’t. When the awareness of what makes you the happiest is at it’s fullest, the choice to follow that feeling becomes very apparent. It’s the craziest thing when people complain about their life. What’s even crazier is when they try to tear you down because you’re living your best life.
Being the change I want to see in people drives me to continue to be the voice. People come to me to provide them with permission to do the very least. I’m ok with that. Working with someone for the first time, they tell me that they’ve never heard a trainer tell them that a push-up on their knees is awesome. That saddens me. What you think is happening really isnt. Therefore forget about what other people think about you. Tell your story the way you want to tell it.
Because everyone sees what they see in Men’s Fitness Magzine, Muscle Head Madness, or any other bullshit projection of what we’re supposed to look like. Isn’t it funny that all of the people in those magazines looks the same? Celebrate your abilities and accept where you are. No matter what intensity you’re able to reach, celebrate it. What you think is happening really isn’t. People don’t really care what you’re doing. So do what makes you happy.
To sum up this article about what you think is happening really isnt, you do you. People will always tell themselves, along with their friends, whatever story they want to believe about you. Just know that I’m not Facebook Perfect. Hell, I’m not real life perfect. Your WOD is waiting, so get it done and tell the world because they’re waiting for you to fail. Prove them wrong each day with doing one round minimum.
Have Fun!
