Many people get depressed on Sunday nights. Then seeing the same people have a case of the Monday’s. Monday is another day. This mindset coaching article comes from my hero Gary Vaynerchuck.

If You Live For The Weekends Then Your Shit Is Broken
I couldn’t agree more. Treat every day like it’s the best day of your life. However, don’t take that for granted. Because it’s the present moment and you’re reading this means that your awareness is already higher than most.
Monday is another day that most people dread. Sunday nights are depressing because you’re not doing the things you love most in your life. I’m here to tell you that when you are happy with what you’re doing, like when I’m training and coaching people, you will be the happiest you will ever be. Problems will dissolve as fast as they show up. Happiness is a constant balance of life. Keeping your emotions in check and taking a look within yourself on a daily basis will do that.
Living your life for Friday, Saturday and Sunday suck because there are other days of the week that provide the opportunity to for happiness as well. 3/7 is 43%. That means 43% of the time you’re happy. That does not sound like fun to me. No wonder you’re depressed on Sunday nights and all of your Mondays blow like the wind.
Stop the madness by looking within yourself on a daily basis. Start writing in a Journal. Here are the steps:
- Write Today’s Date
- Make a checklist of the minimum things to get done today
- For example – Go to bed early, Get one round of a WOD done, Meditate
- Write 5-10 things you’re grateful for
- Write your 8 Words
- Free write on the rest of the paper
Do those 5 steps daily and you’ll feel way different. Break your patterns and you’ll soon realize that Monday is another day of the week that you’ll look forward to. The 3/7 will become 4/7 then 5/7. When you hit the level of gratitude for life that Gary Vee has, then you’re there. Each day that I get to spread happiness and give people permission to fail is the best day of my life.
Some might say that their wedding day is the best day of their life or the day their son or daughter was born. I say that today is the best day of my life. Because that is the truth. I love those other days and the awareness that comes with them. However, if those were the best days of my life, then the rest of my life is doomed. Therefore each day is better and better. Loving adversity helps. I always feel like I’m being taken care of. That’s what a deep faith feels like.
Concluding this mindset coaching article will be easy. Stop treating Monday as an end of your fun. Monday is another day to continue the fun. Find a way to do more of what you love to do and what makes you truly happy and Sunday night will be the most exciting night you have. Get the WOD done. Then grab your Journal.
