It sure is. There are SO many benefits to shadow boxing. Here are 3:
- Core Strength
- Hand Eye Coordination
- Cardiovascular Endurance
Another question I get is…
Does Shadow Boxing Build Muscle?
Short answer: Yes
Long answer is that your limbs have weight. The weight from your limbs give enough resistance to gain muscle. Meaning you don’t have to have any more weight then what your arms provide. 🙂
Today’s WOD provides you a mini shadow boxing workout routine. It was ton of fun making it because Samuel and Molly are going kind of crazy during the video.
So let’s get to it…
WOD #65 Shadow Boxing Loses Weight
- 1 Minute speed bag punches
- 10 cross punches
- 10 thigh taps
- 10 over head squats
- 10 tricep pushups
- Cool down – 5 deep breaths in down dog
