Belly Fat Reducing MovementsOne of the most problematic areas of the body is the belly. Today’s WOD will provide you with belly fat reducing movements. Ultimately it comes down to calories in versus calories out and is closely linked to cardiovascular exercise.

You’re in luck because today’s WOD will definitely provide you both strength AND cardio. Granted these two systems take energy from two different ways, but for the sake of movement you will get belly fat reducing movements so that your body will take that visceral fat and use it up.

One of the BEST ways to reduce your belly fat is to keep moving. Tracking your steps is a GREAT way to do so. (Go Here for a “Talk Therapy” session I did about why 10K steps can save your life)

After watching that video, which most of you WON’T watch, all you really need to know is this…

Approximately 10,000 steps equals 500 calories. Which if you were to get 10K steps per day for 7 days a week, you’d use one pound of body fat.

Here’s the Math:

500*7 = 3,500

How many calories are in a pound of fat?


So simply stepping 10,000 times 7 days a week for 1 year WILL get you to a 52 pound weight loss…

UNLESS you are eating those calories and at best you’ll be breaking even. Some would say breaking even doesn’t count, but I my world of 1>0, SOMETHING is better than NOTHING.

So let’s get to those belly fat reducing movements shall we?

WOD #214 Belly Fat Reducing Movements

Warm-Up – 5 Minutes Cardio
1-6 Rounds

  • Full Sit-Ups/Crunches – 20-40 Reps
  • 1 Minute Cardio
  • Sit Twist / Russian Twist – 20-40 Reps
  • 1 Minute Cardio
  • Straight Leg Raise – 20-40 Reps
  • 1 Minute Cardio

Cool Down – 5 Deep Breaths In Down Dog Pose
