I have been on a real music kick lately. WOD #172 hits home when I was listening to Mumford and Sons Awake My Soul. In this part of the 365 journey I totally feel like I am beginning to awake my soul.

When you start to work from the neck up versus working from the neck down the results are way more permanent.

Let me explain…

In the song “Awake My Soul“…

There is a part where it says…

In these bodies we will will live and in these bodies we will die.

Where you invest your love, you invest your life.”

That is where WOD #172 comes from…


When you are rockin the superman/batman over a hundred times you aren’t just improving your body. You are putting yourself into a position to fly. You don’t have to be off the ground to “fly”.

I know that sounds nuts because in today’s day and age we don’t stop and try to observe our thoughts and behaviors. All we do is try to change them overnight, without any chance to prepare.

Another part in that song…

Your soul you must keep, totally free

You GET to choose what you put into your soul. Dr. Joe Dispenza said, “A memory without an emotional charge is called Wisdom.” And wisdom is stored in the soul. Therefore it’s YOUR choice to keep doing the same things and keep thinking the same way.

Then only way to keep your soul totally free is to be constantly aware of ALL of your thoughts and that takes practice.

I don’t know about you, but I use movement and exercise as ONE for of my meditation methods.


That’s why WOD #172 is here for you. To provide a bit of freedom and to build a bridge to your soul.

So here it is…

WOD #172 Beginning To Awake My Soul

Warm-Up 5 Minutes Cardio

1-6 Rounds

100 Reps

  • Batmans / Supermans

Cool Down – 10 Deep Breaths sitting quietly
