Become Your Own Biggest FanWhen starting anything new it’s exciting, fun and sometimes even scary. It’s after the newness wears off the fun may not be there anymore. Plus those around you won’t always be there to cheer you because they have their own problems to worry about. This mindset coaching article will show you why you need to become your own biggest fan to stick with your healthy lifestyle.

When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going

The old saying is when the going gets tough, the tough get going. I had no idea what that really meant when I was growing up. Hearing it in sports and inspirational speeches it really didn’t apply because I never thought of myself as tough. It wasn’t until after my son was born that I knew something had to change.

Being your own biggest fan when those times do get tough is what separates your new life choices from your old ones. All the support in the world won’t be enough to get your ass off the couch after a day of work and/or taking care of the kids all day. Having the audacity to believe that no matter what one round will be done today is the mindset.

Acquiring that mindset is like a person working in a mine, chipping away underground every single day, little by little getting rid of the dirt that stands in the way. On the other side of that dirt are limitless amounts of gems waiting to be found. With every swing of the ax is the work and when the ax hits the dirt that’s the completion of one round.

The dirt being taken out is the WOD. Each day a person swings for their life to change. Some days 6 rounds are swung and some 1 swing is swung. Looking at it from the perspective of 1 Is > Than 0 will keep you swinging every day of the week.

With that mindset and perspective, you’ll become your own biggest fan without anyone cheering you on. However, when people do cheer you on it will only add fuel to the already lit and bright fire within yourself. The work you’re doing is massive and the long term changes along with the short terms ones will become better than any destination or achievements.

Lastly the gems. After you become your own biggest fan you’ll soon realize that the gems are everywhere. You are a gem. Love the feeling and help someone else become their own biggest fan by lifting them up. Help yourself first each day and people will follow. Even if you don’t think people are following, I promise you when you’re doing the work, they are.

We all have a story to tell. Tell it proudly and never apologize for who you are. I am here to tell you that you are amazing, limitless, and unstoppable. Keep going and love who is looking back at you in the mirror. After you get your WOD done today I Challenge you to do something nice for one person. Even if they don’t deserve it. Actually, I’d even say especially if they don’t deserve it. Because that can change their life if they let it.

Make fun choices each day and become your own biggest fan with those choices.

Warm Up- 5 Minutes Cardio
1-6 Rounds

  • Prone Opposite Arm + Leg – 30-40 Reps Total
  • Deadlift – 30-40 Reps
  • Russian Twist – 40-50 Reps Total
  • Burpees / Full Body Extensions – 40-50 Reps

Cool Down – 5 Deep Breaths In Each Pose – Down Dog, Child’s Pose, Up Dog Pose, Down Dog Pose
