Breaking Down Mental Barriers DailyEvery one of us has mental barriers that we set up in our minds. Sometimes they’re not even our walls. They got out up when we were children. This mindset coaching article will reveal that these WODs help people with breaking down mental barriers daily.

The crazy part about mental barriers is that they really aren’t real. We’ve all heard the age-old saying before…

It’s All In Your Head

During the Group Personal Training Classes there challenging movements sometimes. Meanwhile, I get looks that can kill many times a class. It has come to me as second nature. There are points within the class that I pick up that the members are getting an amazing workout. For example, one person takes her glasses off and another gets very quiet. I recognize these social cues because I’ve been doing this long enough to know that our demeanor changes when people are breaking down mental barriers daily.

When working on the WODs each day those barriers are broken down little by little. I love it when people tell me that they won’t be able to do something or they can’t do something. Keep hanging around me and I’ll eventually widdle that wall down. Above all, showing up to the group personal training classes, either in person or on video chat, will equip you with a jackhammer versus a chisel.

Seeing Is Believing

In late 2018 I introduced the Suspension Trainer to the group personal training classes. Also, I increased the time from a half hour to an hour. Those two massive changes have amped up the ability with breaking down mental barriers daily. Showing up once or twice a week is like throwing a wrecking ball at that wall. If you’re not coming to this class you’re still getting a hell of a workout. Don’t get me wrong these WODs and your consistency are gold. It’s the community support that reinforces it all.

The featured image for this mindset coaching article is a REAL member. She is breaking down mental barriers daily by doing things that she’s never done before. That’s how you do it. To do things you’ve never done before you have to do things you’ve never done before. If that makes sense to you it means you’re ready and are doing what it takes. If it doesn’t it’s ok. You’re not ready and just know that someday you will be.

She thought she wasn’t ready for what I asked her to do on this day. Like most classes, they prove themselves wrong. I only provide a space for opportunity. Encouragement and explanation of the movements. It’s as simple as that. Breaking down mental barriers daily happens because she is choosing to change her life. I applaud her courage and am blown away by her determination.

It’s time for you to break down your mental barriers today. Complete your WOD and smash that wall down. It’s your life, live it to the fullest. Forget about what others think and do you. Because you are worth the time you put into yourself.
