After doing the WODs for so long the mind and body start to crave things I’ve never imagined possible. What is your body craving? In this mindset coaching article you’ll be aware of what your body needs and wants.
The ripple effect of doing one round minimum of each WOD has been a surprise on a daily basis. It has changed my body composition as well as my taste for food. However, I still have the days where I crave pizza, cake and ice cream. It’s far less prevalent now.
What is your body craving? Also, what is your mind craving? Sugar? Salt? It’s all about pattern interruption and awareness. Knowing what you’re doing, how you’re feeling and time of day will help with what you’re body is craving. Above all try going all the way through the motions of what you want to do mentally. Then if you still feel like you want to do it, then go for it.
After a certain number of WODs your mind and body will start to crave the WODs. It seems silly to think that you’ll actually love to challenge your body. Because of the work that it takes to get to the end of the 365 WOD Journey your body will thank you. The ripples have crossed over to my eating as well.
I don’t currently tell my clients how to eat because it’s something that differentiates my coaching to others. I eat what I want when I want to eat it. Nutrition is a mindset thing too. Why would I tell people not to eat pizza cake and ice cream when I eat it too?
Nutrition and diet for me are one in the same. My nutrition has changed because of the consistency of my movement. Seems silly to me to eat 2,000 more calories a day than I need because my movement pattern doesn’t reflect that much intake. Being aware of that takes practice (And a journal too).
When you feel great about yourself the movement comes easier. When you feel amazing about yourself because of the consistent movement the nutrition and diet follow. It’s the ripples in the water that create the energy to move and continue to move.
So get after it with this WOD and ask yourself what is my body craving? Because knowing that will get you where you are the happiest.
Have Fun!
