Time Is The One Thing We Do Not Get BackSince starting the 365 WOD Journey I’ve noticed my clients and members of the #Kobernation getting faster and stronger. How do I know? Because of the retests that are strategically placed within the Journey. Time is the one thing we do not get back. That’s how we measure progress, time.

I remember the summers as a child. They seemed like they lasted forever. Not really grasping the reality of time. Can you imagine if we were like that as an adult? Life can feel like that again. We need to get out of the thought that time is linear.

Our thoughts control more than we’ve been taught. If you do need something to motivate you on how much time you think you have to change your life, then let’s do some math…

There are 525,600 minutes in one year. That may sound like a ton of minutes, but let’s talk a lifetime of minutes.

Why Is Time The One Thing We Do Not Get Back?

Let’s say you live until you’re 100. That’s 52,560,000 minutes. 52 million minutes. Seems like a lot right? It’s not. Go to this website and do your math to where you are in your life and watch the seconds tick down. It’s time to do something different with your life because it’s true when you say you don’t have time. (Go Here To See Mine)

I know it sounds morbid to talk and think about your death day, but it’s something that we all don’t think about enough. Time is the one thing you do not get back. Watching that timer tick down is scary as hell because it brings me to a whole new level of humility. I then stop making excuses for not doing the things I love to do. You don’t have time to sit and watch TV or scroll through your social media. Find what makes you happy and do more of that.

Coaching my clients about time is fun because each time they do their retest they get faster. It’s amazing to me that they keep trying to beat their score. We get competitive and when we are up against ourselves it gets fun too. Because then there’s no more judgment. Time is one of those things that seems like it goes nowhere and everywhere at the same “time”. As I sit here and write this I lose track of time. That feeling of “losing track” brings me back to the summers when I was a kid.

Those summers were fun and seemed to last forever, in a good way of course. So that tells me I’m on the right track by writing these coaching pieces. They don’t just help you, they also help me. They’re helping me realize that the countdown doesn’t have to be scary. Heck, I just may live to be more than one hundred years old and with the mindset, I have today and continue to grow into, that would be amazing.

So getting one round of each WOD done every day for a year means you take a few minutes out of the total 525,600 and commit. It’s TIME for you to get out of your old patterns and create new ones. One minute at a TIME. (See what I did there LOL).

Have Fun!
