Old Habits Die Hard
Being in between the old life and the new one is a constant battle. Old habits die hard. Once you accept where you are in this moment life gets real fun. Your new life is in the future and learning to live like it has already happened is where the lesson is.

My old habits are like everyone else’s. Coming up with a list of them wasn’t hard. The hard part was letting them completely die. I’ll be one hundred percent honest and admit that some of these old habits creep back into my life, but only for moments at a time versus days and weeks at a time.

Here are examples of old habits that die hard:

  • Eating a whole of bon bons
  • Chewing sunflower seeds
  • Staying up late
  • Bitching about what I can’t control
  • Watching tv mindlessly
  • Scrolling through social media mindlessly
  • Not drinking enough water
  • Not eating enough protein
  • Eating too much sugar
Spending money I didn’t have on stuff I didn’t want

Old habits die hard and are like waking up and falling back to sleep. Because after being awake, it simply becomes too hard to stay awake any longer and you give in to the exhaustion. At that moment you have a choice to either stay asleep for the rest of your life or wake up and fight another day.

The fight of making new habits comes from three places:

Mind, Body, Soul

And

Energy, Feelings, Wisdom

I know that seems like six places, but they are interchangeable. Therefore, once you start to realize that wether sleeping or awake they are all the same, life gets fun.

In other words, take it one day at a time. Some will be amazing. Others may be complete crap. One thing I know for sure is be very aware of who you surround yourself with. If they don’t emulate what you truly believe in, then find new people.

Once you realize that working out becomes something you do for the rest of you life the old habits begin to be stored in your soul as wisdom. The old habits are part of your old story. Some would even say it’s the child you that needs to hear that you’re going to be ok. Because we all need the comfort of ourselves and feel safe, that’s why they get stored and not forgotten.

Create new habits and stick with them by practicing them daily. Try new things no matter what. Stay open to the unknown.

Have Fun!
