Many times we worry about what we look like while we workout. Looking sexy while working out is overrated. You have the rest of the day to look good. What you look like while you work out matters only to personal trainers, exercise physiologists, and physical therapists. Even then you don’t need to worry.
You have the rest of the day to look good. Looking sexy while working out only happens on TV and Instagram. Let’s be real, nobody looks good working out. At least that’s the majority of us don’t. There’s one perfect of people that do look good. Who cares about them though. The reason a person works out is to look good for the rest of the day.
If you think people are looking at you at the gym, it’s an insecurity thing in your head. Nobody gives a crap about what you’re doing. Actually, 99% of what you do matters nothing to most people. The one percent is if you wipe your machines down and really who knows if that ever gets done. That’s another reason I don’t go to public gyms that often. Gross.
When I first start with a client, this is one of the hardest things they need to change. Who cares what you look like while you’re working out. It’s the other 23 hours of the day that you’re working out for. When you start to realize that looking sexy while working out is silly it becomes easier to let go of the stress while at the gym or working out at home.
The first thing a person will notice is that people aren’t looking at them. When I workout at home anyone can be home and around. Daily practice makes that way easier. Conversations with my wife about my expectations of what I want out of my workout helps too.
Looking Sexy While Working Out
My clients have told me that looking sexy while working out doesn’t matter after awhile because they actually feel stronger and more confident. Since day one they’ve been told by me that what they look like is awesome. The way people look when they move is what they look like. Changing that doesn’t happen overnight.
The best part of not worrying about looking sexy while working out is that you’ll look sexy while working out. It seems backward right? It’s because you’re letting go of the resistance to look sexy while working out. Looking sexy is a mindset thing. Therefore, when you accept the fact that you’re already sexy, you unstoppable. That’s the kind of coach I am. Delusion is practical.
Delusion is practical because it’s the ultimate weapon to negativity. You are what you say you are. No matter what you say you’re right.
