Do Not Skip Leg Day EVERWith today’s day of social media, it’s easy to see how many influencers there are in the Fitness Industry. I’m here to say do not skip leg day EVER. Why? Because you’re going to be exposed faster today than ever before. This mindset article will prove to you that a body that is equally worked is stronger than a body that only works beach muscles.

There’s a show on NBC called The Titan Games with Dwayne The Rock Johnson as the host. Because I don’t watch much TV I was surprised I caught this small segment on video. As my EMT partner and I were watching it the two dudes were competing for the win.

The blue guy looks like he works the total body, functional training, flexibility, and coordination. With that kind of training, any kind of terrain is doable. It’s not surprising to me that this guy looks pretty strong but well developed. Weighing in at 192 pounds and around six percent body fat, he’s a beast.

The red guy is a muscle-bound moron. I don’t have anything against guys with a lot of muscle. What I do have a problem with is what this dude thinks is strong. Too many people think that it’s all beach muscles. Chest, shoulders, triceps and six-pack abs won’t win competitions. Meanwhile, he was in the gym for many hours a day working those beach muscles thinking he looked good. If he’s completely happy with that, then I’m wrong a hell. However, ask him after the competitions he competes in.

Do NOT Skip Leg Day EVER!

Do Not Skip Leg Day EVER

I’m casting a complete judgment on these guys and fully accept it. It’s because too many people fall for the beach muscle trainers with man buns. They wear tight t-shirts and sweatpants to the gym. Ask them to wear shorts and they get all pissed off. It’s because they only work legs once a week. Instagram and SnapChat can cover up the fact that these idiots don’t work legs. Listen to me when I say this over and over again. Do NOT skip leg day EVER.

Fortunately, the 365 WOD Journey and the Battle WODs have leg days strategically placed so that all the muscles in your body will be worked equally. Squats, lunges, side kicks, mountain climbers, bridges, deadlift, and any other lift for the lower back and legs are VERY important.

The problem with leg day is that it isn’t sexy. Guys who only work beach muscles don’t win competitions because they have the Flamingo syndrome.

Flamingo Syndrome – When the upper body is bigger than the legs by at least two times the size

Do NOT Skip Leg Day EVER

When I was in college, there were these flamingo syndrome pretty boy fools everywhere. Again, the judgment here, but it comes from a place of truth. They weren’t happy because I asked them if they owned a pair of shorts and they got all pissed off. They aren’t happy and they’d take their anger out on me. Subsequently, consistency will get you to where you want to be. Beach muscle workouts will get you to a fake place of security.

The best part of all of this…

There’s proof of all my banter here. As I said, I was watching that TV show and caught it on video and put it on my SnapChat story. Meanwhile, I saved it and uploaded it to ALL of my social media sites. To both of the guys who competed, you a by far stronger than me at your game. I am just exposing the bullshit of the beach muscle mentality.

To conclude why you do NOT skip leg day, there’s nothing else to say except do NOT skip leg day. It’s as simple as that. Get your WOD done and trust that you’ll never have to worry about not doing leg day. Above all, know that these two guys in the video above have worked their asses off and I respect that work. You do you and be aware of all the bull shit hype of real life.
