Who wouldn’t want a workout that would help you burn fat strengthen cardio and simply have fun doing it? That’s what today’s WOD is ALL about: FUN!

The topic of burning calories while either lifting weight vs. cardio is always a “burning one”… LOL sorry I just HAD to.

When you are first getting ready to start your workout do you do cardio or strength training first?

My opinion is BOTH.

Cardio is important for burning fat and strength training is important for the POTENTIAL OF burning fat. What I mean is cardiovascular exercise burns excess energy (calories) and strength training (push-ups, sit-ups, squats, lunges etc.) builds muscle. Now, in order for the cardio to have the MOST benefit TO burn the excess energy (Fat) you want to have more muscle.

So the question might be…

How much cardio and strength training to lose weight?

Well, it’s simple…

I create daily WODs to cover ALL those bases. Why would you want to spend 2-3 hours in a gym every day when you only REALLY need 15 minutes a day with my WODs. They WILL help you with your cardio or strength training to lose weight fast. Heck it will help your cardio AND strength training to lose weight fast!

Simply put, cardio increases your metabolism. Strength training increases the POTENTIAL of calories burned.

If you ONLY do cardio, you are wasting a TON of time because your POTENTIAL stays the same! NO GAINS for losses there!

Ok let’s get to it!

Here’s today’s WOD…

WOD #120 Burn Fat Strengthen Cardio

Tabata Style – 20 seconds on and 10 seconds rest

1-6 Rounds

  • High Knees
  • Jumping Jacks
  • High Knees
  • Jumping T’s
  • Burpees (If you want an alternative for the burpees Go Here)
